Raised in Portland as a queer, cisgender woman from a working-class background, I bring a wealth of diverse experiences from my work in both Portland and Los Angeles. My journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of varied human experiences, enabling me to connect with and support individuals across different spectrums of life. My approach is informed by my personal and professional experiences, aiming to create a therapeutic space that acknowledges and celebrates the unique paths of each individual.
I work with adults, couples, and individuals navigating all of life's challenges. My clients often include LGBTQ+ folks, those in ethically non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships, and kink-positive. My extensive experience supporting those facing homelessness, addiction, and incarceration further enriches my practice, allowing me to offer a comprehensive and empathetic perspective to all clients, regardless of their background or history.
I firmly believe that the therapeutic relationship between therapist and client is the most crucial aspect of therapy. To foster effective therapy, I prioritize engagement, connection, attunement, and rapport. My approach is rooted in a person-centered, trauma-informed, and attachment-based perspective, with an emphasis on harm reduction, which focuses on collaboration between therapist and client. I also do Parts Work. I believe that clients possess the answers to their problems, and it is my job to work alongside them to find solutions. While I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the key to healing, I pull from a variety of modalities including CBT, DBT, and attachment-based work.
My unique blend of life experiences and professional education gives me a distinct outlook on the complexities surrounding identity, mental health, and resilience. I hold a special interest in aiding individuals grappling with attachment traumas, particularly those exploring non-monogamous relationships. The ideal client for me is someone conscious of their challenges and in search of a therapist willing to accompany them on the sometimes uncomfortable journey towards healing and self-discovery, focusing on building healthy attachments and reevaluating personal beliefs and life narratives.
