Hi, my name is Italia (she/her), and I work with individuals dealing with trauma, C-PTSD, PTSD, boundaries, self-esteem, sexuality, identity, shame, anxiety, panic, negative self-talk, relational issues, family trauma, and polyamorous/CNM exploration from a systemic perspective. My work is eclectic, reflecting the diverse backgrounds, experiences, personalities, and issues of my clients. My goal is to help you find acceptance and happiness within yourself, your relationships, and your environment.
I have experience with various modalities and work with people from all walks of life. I primarily use Narrative Therapy, Humanistic approaches, Internal Family Systems, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. I also have specialized training in EFT, EFIT, IFIO, supporting LGBTQIA+, polyamorous/CNM relationships, couples, trauma survivors, and neurodivergent humans.
Neurodivergent individuals, non-binary people, women, men, cis, LGBTQIA+, monogamous, polyamorous/CNM folks, religious and non-religious people, and trauma survivors. A good fit would be someone who has the openness to take on the slow burn that therapy requires.
If you’re seeking someone who is both supportive and challenging, that’s me. I'll be a secure attachment in your life that also kicks you in the butt. I’m a cis neurodivergent individual with fibromyalgia, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and ADHD. I’m a self-made business owner, supervisor, and PhD student, as well as a cat mom, partner, and a direct and sassy person. Some of the reasons I became a therapist include childhood trauma, poverty, abuse, and feeling unsafe in my body.
I believe that you are the expert of your life, but while I can give you insight and many tools, you're the most important factor to change and success.
Italia is a current PhD Student at the Modern Sex Therapy Institutes. She is working on obtaining her PhD in Sexology and becoming a Certified Sex Therapist. She works with individuals on sexual and relational satisfaction, identity exploration, and mental health issues impacting sexuality and function.
Italia has a deep passion for supervising counseling students and associates. Her journey to becoming a therapist was fraught with challenges, including feelings of isolation and even trauma. She often found herself constrained by societal assumptions of being able-bodied, neurotypical, and more, which led to the discomforting experience of having to justify her belonging within certain populations.
Motivated by these struggles, Italia was inspired to establish a practice and become a supervisor where safety, care, and inclusivity serve as the foundation. Her goal is to create a supportive environment where individuals feel valued, respected, and empowered to thrive.
