About The Group
If you've experienced distress or confusion stemming from religious practices or communities, you're not alone. Our "Healing from Religious Trauma" therapy group offers a safe, supportive environment to explore these experiences and emotions. We will delve into topics such as sexual shame, the link between religion and attachment style, cognitive dissonance, and purity culture. As your therapist, I'll help you discover new coping strategies, share your story, and start rebuilding your spiritual and emotional well-being. Everyone deserves a space where they can heal and grow—let this be yours.

Who, When, & Where?
- This is a closed group with 7 spots open for sign up.
- This group is open to those who are 18+.
- This group is for those who are wanting to learn more and work through their personal religious trauma in a group setting.
- Meetings will be held on Fridays, from 6pm-7pm.
- Scheduled to start meeting weekly once at least 5 group members have joined. (see the tentative schedule and discussion topics listed at the bottom of this page).
July sessions have started but with enough interest the group will be rerun in August or September 2024.
